The Mercedes Benz 400 began production in 1992 as a component of the E-class lineup. A midsize sedan, the 400 was powered by the rather large 4.2L V8 engine- an engine that was not used in Europe due to emission standards. Named after its engine the 400 (although not as accurately named as its successor the E420 that had the same engine and was actually almost identical to the 400E) usually had an E after its name to designate that it was part of Mercedes-Benz's executive car lineup. The 400 was discontinued in 1993.
The 400 wheels included two 15" alloy rims with silver finish and either 15 or 8 spokes. There were also two 16" alloy rims both finished in silver and with 8 or 15 spokes. Only one steel rim was available and it had 14 holes and was finished in black.
