Information On Factory Fiat Rims and Wheels

The long history of Fiat begins in 1899 when Giovanni Agnelli founded Fabrica Italiana Automobilistica di Torino, or F.I.A.T., that was a merger of many of the car manufacturers in Turin in order to compete in the global market; the name translated means Italian Automobiles factory of Turin. Originally producing quite expensive vehicles (over ten times the price of a Ford Model T) Fiat maintained a factory in New York until WWI when regulations became too overwhelming. From the time until the end of WWII Fiat had some discord with workers over communism and other political issues (such as Agnelli quitting after the workers chose Communism, or in 1945 the National Liberation Committee removing the Agnelli family from any leadership because of their ties to Mussolini, a punishment lasting until 1963 when Agnelli's grandson Gianni became general manager and shortly thereafter chairman).

Since then the Fiat brand has expanded considerably by creating plants in places such as Yugoslavia, Poland, and Romania and other such places as well as being a conglomerate that owned "toll highways, a typewriter and office machine manufacturer, electronics and electrical equipment firms, a paint company, a civil engineering firm, and an international construction company." Recently the Fiat company found itself in a hole in a monetary hole that they began to dig itself out of with the 2009 partnership with the New Chrysler. This deal involves very little cash interchange and is most profitable for both of the companies by way of expanding their market presences along with information exchange. Fiat has also recently entered into a deal with Mazda to produce select cars for them.

Currently Fiat's automotive subsidiaries include Ferrari as well as Maserati, along with lesser known brands such as Teksid, and Comau. Fiat is known to make quality small cars that are not inexpensive and often share parts with high performance brands such as Ferrari and Maserati.
