The Buick Riviera post 5th generation models came as a 2-door coupe and during the 6th generation came as a 2-door convertible as well. The Riviera (post 5th generation) was in production from 1979 until 1999, and although a concept car called the Riviera came out in in 2007 Buick has not made any mass production plans for it. The original Riviera is a classic luxury car that started production in 1963 and between all eight generations produced more than 1.1 million cars.

The Riviera in its sixth and seventh generations produced a plethora of 14" and 15" wheels (both steel and alloy) and one 16", 7 hole alloy rim finished in silver or white. Of the steel wheels only one, a 15", 10 spoke chrome finished, had a non painted finish, and only one, a 14" OEM steel wheel, was not 15". During the eighth and final generation, the Riviera only produced 16" alloy Rims, amongst which was only one was finished in chrome. The other four wheels included 12 and 15 spoke wheels that were finished in silver with a machined lip, and 12 and 15 spoke rims that were finished in silver with a painted lip.
