Information On Factory Acura EL Rims and Wheels

The Acura EL was introduced to the Canadian market in 1997 and production ran all the way until 2005. The EL was the entry-level luxury sedan created to replace the badly selling Integra in Canada. At the end of its life it was replaced by the CSX.

The first generation - 1997 to 2000
The new sedan was based on the Honda Civic but offered special features and trimmings that were not available on a regular Civic. Being a luxury vehicle it was offered with a couple of different stock alloy wheel options. 15" 5 spoke aluminum factory rims were offered with most of the vehicles sold however there were a few variations to the design available. There was also a 15" factory steel rim option for the base model that would normally take a full wheel cover. These factory Acura EL rims were used until the end of the EL's first generation.

The second generation - 2001 to 2005
The second EL was given a major upgrade. It was given a nice facelift and an upgraded technology package including many new features. With all these upgrades also came new factory original Acura EL rims. There was a 15" 15 spoke option that was standard on the premium levels, a standard 5 spoke wheel, and the OEM steel wheel that was standard on the base model. Although the model was only sold in Canada you can still often find both the vehicles and stock used Acura EL wheels in the states because of the massive popularity of this car.
